Officially recognised as a sport in 1960’s USA, axe throwing has been around since medieval times. As times have changed we now use targets (instead of ancient battlegrounds), but the fun and thrill of throwing an axe will bring out the competitive side in everyone. Our experienced instructors are on hand to teach you the best techniques, help you perfect your aim and, of course, to keep you safe.

Equipment Provided:
We provide axe throwing targets built to World Axe Throwing League specifactions, freshly sharpened axes and axe blocks to create an axe throwing range at a location of your choosing.

Skill Levels:
Axe throwing can be a challenging activity at the start, with one clear rotation of the axe required before it strikes the target. But you will soon go from zero to hero under the guidance of our team.

Safety Measures:
Safety is always our top priority, closely followed by your enjoyment. We maintain strict safety protocols, including set up of the range, creation of exclusion zones, excellent equipment and constant supervision by trained instructors. All participants receive a safety briefing before starting.

- In order to set up your axe throwing activity we require a clear, flat and grassy area that is at least 10 metres by 5 metres.
- There must be no public access to the area behind the targets (no paths, roads or buildings).

- Anyone from age 14 and up can take part in axe throwing. We will tell you everything that you need to know to stick the axe in the bullseye.
- The maximum group size is entirely up to you! Up to 25 people per hour can throw at 2 targets, up to 50 people if you ask us to bring 4 targets.

Axe Throwing

We provide hand made axe throwing targets (built to World Axe Throwing League specifications), sharp axes to throw, axe blocks for changeovers, distance markers and trained instructors.

Axe throwing sessions can run for up to 3 hours depending on the bundle of activities that you select and the number of participants. Please contact us for advice and a quote.

Loose fitting and comfortable clothes that are suitable for the weather conditions and closed toe footwear are all you need.

No prior experience is required. Our activities are designed to be enjoyable for beginners and experienced participants alike. Our expert instructors will guide you through each activity.

Incredible experience and amazing staff!
This was our second time on this trip and we couldn’t recommend it more. The experience itself is incredible, the stories, the sunset and the bioluminescence are amazing! The staff are as amazing as the sights, Jamie, Rowan, Rommel and Eamon are so helpful and informative – really great at explaining everything to more nervous members of the group!

Unbelievable night kayak
Unbelievable night Kayak with Jamie and our 2 x boys – we learnt so much about the nature of the surrounding area (in a v fun way) and also the history both real and Mystical!!! Our son has not stopped telling everyone he meets about the bioluminescence and some of the other amazing things he learnt. Jamie is the best host you could ask for and his endless supply of “dad jokes” was sight to behold. Thanks again Jamie!!!

Utterly fantastic
Utterly fantastic. Took us on a tour of Kenmare Bay in a tandem sit in kayak. The instructor (Eamonn) was full of stories and knowledge about the local history and biome and we felt safe at all times . He judged the trip on our level of paddle experience and adjusted accordingly, just super from beginning to end!
